Cheryl Cole: It's Time To 'Forgive' Chris Brown

Cheryl-Cole-It's-Time-To-Forgive-Chris Brown

British pop star Cheryl Cole is backing Chris Brown and urging fans to forgive him for assaulting Rihanna three years ago.

Convinced Brown has made positive changes in his life since assaulting Rihanna in February of 2009, the "Call My Name" singer and former "X-Factor" judge sat down for an interview with Alex James on "In:Demand With Alex" to encourage others to forgive and forget.

"I think it's really kind of Rihanna [to forgive Brown]," the 28-year-old explained, "She's come out and publicly forgiven him, really."

Although Rihanna recently stopped following Brown on Twitter, sources told US Weekly in January that the pair have been seeing each other the past year, and in February they released two new songs they recorded together.

"I think it's about time we all [forgave Brown], if I'm completely honest, if you want my opinion," Cole added, "I think it's time we all moved on. That guy is talented as hell."

Over the weekend Chris thanked Cheryl by sending her a message on Twitter saying, "thanks for the support and believing in me as an artist!"

As for RiRi, she spoke out against the criticism she's getting for talking to Brown again telling ELLE in May, "I respect what other people have to say. The bottom line is that everyone thinks differently".

The 24-year-old "You Da One" singer admitted, "It's very hard for me to accept, but I get it, people end up wasting their time on the blogs or whatever, ranting away, and that's all right. I don't hate them for it."

Selena Gomez's Facebook Hacker Jailed for 12 Months

Selena-Gomez's-Facebook-Hacker-Jailed-for-12-Months

Tween pop star and budding Spring Breakers actress Selena Gomez can rest a little easier now that the man behind her Facebook hacking last year has been put behind bars.

Back in January of 2011, Gareth Crosskey, a British teenager who worked at McDonald's, posed as Selena's stepfather and got a representative from the social networking site to change her password. Once done, Gareth began an anti-Justin Bieber assault on her page, which happened to be linked to her Twitter, thus sending out a multitude of hateful tweets and updates, like "Oh yeh, Justin Bieber sucks" to Selena's thousands of followers.

At the time of the hacking, it was unknown whether Selena and Justin were truly an item, so the fake anti-Bieb tweets caused quite an uproar amongst legions of Beliebers.

Not stopping there, Gareth tattled on himself by uploading a YouTube video boasting about his actions, contacting several gossip outlets to offer information about the new romance and even reaching out to Selena's real stepfather.

While in court, Gareth attempted to make the hacking look noble, saying his intentions were to help Facebook tighten security, arguing it was too easy to hack people's accounts.

Judge John Price was not amused or impressed, however, and sentenced him to 12 months in jail as punishment for violating the UK's Computer Misuse Act.

Watch: Katy Perry (Wide Awake) Lyric Video

Katy-Perry-Wide-Awake-Lyric-Video

Katy Perry knows what she's doing, that's for sure. On the heels of releasing her single "Part of Me" at the Grammy Awards, the "California Gurl" singer released "Wide Awake" at last night's 2012 Billboard Awards.

If you're thinking the song sounds a little like a big ol' adios to her ex-husband Russell Brand, then you may be right! The lyrics are: "I wish I knew then what I know now/Wouldn't dive in, wouldn't bow down/Gravity hurts/You made it so sweet 'til I woke up on the concrete." Ouch!

According to Celebuzz, during a recent interview Katy talked about her personal songs and getting her feelings out there instead of keeping them bottled up inside. “Well, there were two songs that I had from "Teenage Dream" that I couldn’t put on, it was ‘Part of Me’ and ‘Dressing Up.’ And then I knew we were doing the re-release and so I was like, ‘I got to get in the studio,’ because I can’t wait eight months to be able to put out this feeling that I’m feeling right now, ’cause God knows it would take eight months to do another record. I couldn’t do it on the fly, to set up records it takes time.”

How to Eat Less - Portion Control Tips

How-to-Eat-Less-Portion-Control-Tips

Portion control is one of the few most important behaviors for long term weight loss and maintenance. However, cravings, complicated guidelines and

a busy lifestyle can really derail us at times. Forming the habit of portion control is much easier if you rely on a few simple tips rather than stressing too much over the right method.

Portion control is one of those concepts that can seem easy in theory, yet a little complicated to put into practice. That's because the guidelines when it comes to serving sizes are quite complicated and are not easy to remember most of the time. If we add this to the fact that limiting certain indulgences can make us crave them more instead of less, things get even tougher.

However, we don't have to spend all day measuring or weighting our food in order to stay on track when dieting. Knowing the portions for various types of food can definitely help, yet we don't have to be very concerned with doing everything perfectly. The following suggestions will help you get into the habit of getting portions right without too much effort.

Order a kid size meal. Particularly with foods that are easy to indulge in, ordering a kid size meal can help us be more mindful when it comes to our total intake. Aside from being a money saver, this strategy can keep us from feeling deprived and minimize the chance that we will binge later on. A similar strategy that can be used when cooking at home is to use a 9 inch plate instead of a regular one. You will automatically eat less without really noticing. However, make sure that you don't go for seconds as you will tend to eat more than you normally would.

Build a better plate. Eating more without feeling that your portions are drastically reduced is easier if you fill half your plate with fruits and veggies while the other half is filled with protein and starch. Other similar variations are treating meat as a side dish or eating a salad before the main course to suppress your appetite. Keeping dishes out of the table is also a quick and simple idea to avoid temptation to overeat. All of these ideas will help you keep your caloric intake low.

Be mindful about liquid calories. It's easy to forget that liquid calories can be a real diet buster especially if you usually drink fruit juices and not typically unhealthy beverages such as sodas. But these calories can add up, even if you make healthy choices. A simple trick to consume less calories is to choose a tall glass over a short one. You could be consuming 19% less calories this way. Watering down juices is another way to make sure that you get the flavor you crave with less calories.

Make your own 100 calorie snack packs. If you are a fan of including snacks or mini meals to keep your metabolism busy, a good strategy is to make your own. Aside from including healthy treats for the day, you can also prepackage some of your favorite treats. That way you will be able to take control splurges virtually guilt free. This technique can also work for food staples you typically indulge in such as pasta or rice as you will be less likely to underestimate your intake.

Limit your choices. Aside from keeping unhealthy foods out of reach or even out of the house, making sure your choices are limited will increase the chances of overindulging. Just as you are more likely to want to taste a variety of foods that are served at a party, you will be more likely to have bigger portions overall if you have many options in your home as well.
